The student leadership intern (SLI) position is an exciting 2-year challenge for those with a strong desire to expand their leadership knowledge and experience with a team.  There are at least two SLIs in place each academic year. The SLIs work with a committee of college employees and students to promote leadership education for students. The newest SLI, hired each fall semester, begins by shadowing the established SLIs implementing the programs offered. By the second year, the intern will step up as the established intern.

This is a blended compensation program that is voluntary for the first semester and paid during the second through fourth semesters. Each week’s time commitment ranges from 3-4 hours in the first two semesters and increases to 6-8 hours during the next two and 8-10 for the final semester.

Current sophomores are invited to apply for the Student Leadership Intern (SLI) position. Apply for this unique position from 11/1/22 through 1/6/22.  Selected applicants will be scheduled for a 15-20 minutes interview. Tested communication and organizational skills plus an overall GPA of 2.8 or higher are essential. For more information: leadershipeducation@lafayette.edu
